    An easy red wine sauce that can be used with beef, lamb, venison or even chicken.

    Ingredients:

    Serves: 6-8

    Yield:

    cups

    Units: US | Metric

    Directions:

    1. 1
      Saute onion in butter 3 minutes or until browned. Add wine; cook 3 minutes. Add broth; bring to boil and cook 5 minutes.
    2. 2
      Stir together water and cornstarch. Add to wine mixture and cook 1 minute until thickened. Adjust seasonings with salt and pepper and optional thyme.

      Yummy wine sauce! I made a roast in the crock pot and used the broth from it to make this sauce. It was really good. We really enjoyed it. Thanks, GailAnn! Made for PRMR.

      wow this is great. I marinated my steak with this recipe : Sizzlin' Steak a La Montreal. The sauce went great with the taste of the steak YUMMY I did only half the sauce. Thanks Gail :) Made for Holiday tag
